Nonviolence Training Educational Counseling Program
The Berghof Research Center for constructive conflict management in Berlin initiated a Handbook for Conflict Transformation on its Website. It
seeks to outline the state of the art of the field and encourages everybody
to give feedback. The feedback will be taken into account before
publishing the book in paper version.
The handbook also includes an article called "Conflict Transformation through Educational and Youth Programmes". I wrote this
article and would be happy to get a lot of feedback from
people working and researching in the field of human
rights education.
It is difficult to describe the state of the art of educational work, because
a lot is happening everywhere, mostly on grass roots level, but little
occasions and forums are given to critically discuss the knowledge and
different experiences. So, perhaps this link is interesting for some of
the members on the mailing list:

There's an impressive resource now on the net, about boys and media/cultural
messages about manhood. It's called "Boys to Men: Media Messages about Masculinity". It's a series of reports, from a national poll of children,
an analysis of how masculinity is portrayed in the programs boys watch, and
commentary by leading figures such as William Pollack. You can find all this at:
